This digital control board executes core excitation algorithms, adjusting excitation current dynamically to stabilize generator terminal voltage and maintain grid power quality. It sends trigger pulses to thyristor rectifiers and provides real-time status feedback for system monitoring and fault diagnosis.

Featuring robust digital processing and built-in protective logic, the ABB 3BUS208796-501 handles over-excitation and under-excitation limiting to safeguard generators against abnormal operating conditions. It supports reliable communication with DCS and supervisory systems, widely deployed on hydro and thermal power generators.

Crafted with industrial-grade circuit components and fully validated under power grid simulation tests, this board is a critical spare part for power station maintenance. It helps minimize unplanned outages and keeps the excitation system running steadily.
